Where Are the Cameras?
The Springfield Police Department installed 24 cameras the week of September 22nd. The camera locations are here.
The Eugene Police Department refuses to give out the locations of their 67 cameras. So community members have taken the time to map them here:
Keep an eye out and update the map! But be aware, there are many types of cameras out there—traffic sensors, security cameras, speed cameras, etc.—this map is only for ALPR cameras. See our Camera Guide for details on different ALPR cameras and how to spot them. See photos below. Flock ALPRs are solar powered, so you will see a black solar panel accompanying the camera. Some ALPRs are mounted on existing poles, like street lamp poles. Others are on their own black, 12-foot pole.
Please note that some businesses have also installed Flock cameras in our area. Often these private businesses share their Flock data with police.
