Tips for Speaking at Council

Get to City Hall early if you are giving comment in person—requests to speak close at 7:35pm. You will be called in a random order up until a time limit is reached, then council decides if they will extend the time limit for any additional speakers.
You CANNOT sign up to speak if you are joining virtually.
You will get 2 minutes and 30 seconds to speak when your name is called. It helps to practice aloud ahead of time. You do not have to use the whole time.

You can bring written materials, such as a written copy of your testimony to give to Council. Or you can email these to [email protected].
Council does not allow signs or visual aids.
