Take Action

Eugene:

1. Sign the petition here and pass it along to your friends and neighbors!

Hey there,

I’m passing along this petition to help us fight against a new police surveillance network in Eugene. The city has signed a contract with Flock Safety to use incredibly invasive license plate readers, or ALPRs, that run on AI technology.

More police surveillance is bad enough, but Flock is especially frightening. They control a nationwide camera network that’s not subject to any oversight, and the larger their network gets, the greater the risks become.

Please sign and forward to anyone you think may be interested. Because the city is trying to sneak this by, we think public opposition will be helpful.

Thanks,

3. Email City Council and demand that they protect our community by ending the ALPR surveillance program. Unsure what points to make in your email? Check out 8 Reasons to Reject Flock.

4. Call your city councilmember’s office and list your concerns – tell them you do NOT want to be tracked while you drive through your city and that you do not believe the data will be forever bulletproof from ICE or Palantir. Who’s my councilmember?
